Found a confusing result, an outdated source or something that is hard to use? Here is how to give us the details we need to investigate.

  • A tool problem

Record the selected tool, country and exact input settings, plus what happened after calculating.

  • A source correction

Identify the statement or number and include a relevant official reference when one is available.

  • A display issue

Note the device, browser, theme and the part of the page that is difficult to read or use.

Reporting a tool or source issue

Include these details in your email to help us reproduce the problem:

  • The page address and country version you used.
  • The inputs you entered, including units, date and time zone if relevant.
  • The result you saw and what you expected instead.
  • An official source link, if you are reporting a factual error.

Keep your message private

Send only the details needed to explain the problem. Leave out sensitive personal information and check screenshots or shared-plan links before sending them.

We cannot assess whether a particular meal is safe or give individual professional advice. For a food-safety concern, follow your local agency's guidance or speak to a qualified professional.

Check the example and the country version

A useful first check is to compare the result with the worked example on the same tool page. Make sure the food, country, units and other settings match the example. If they do not, a different answer may be expected.

For a date-based problem, keep the complete day, time and selected time zone. Include whether you entered new details or opened a saved or shared plan. Those details help distinguish a current plan from an earlier copy.

Describe a display or accessibility problem

Note the page, device and browser, and whether you were using the light or dark theme. Describe the control or text that was difficult to use and what you expected to happen. If you were using a keyboard, include the sequence of keys or the point where focus became unclear.

A screenshot can make an alignment or clipping issue easier to explain. Crop out unrelated personal information, open browser tabs and any private plan details before sharing an image. Describe the problem in text as well, so the image is not the only explanation.

Keep a short, reproducible report

Separate the steps you took from the result you saw. For example, identify the tool, list the relevant settings, name the button you selected and describe the unexpected output. If an official source differs, include the precise part you are referring to.

Keep a copy of those notes for your own reference. A report should contain enough information to repeat the issue without including personal identifiers, private household information or a complete shared-plan link that reveals more than necessary.

  • Page and country version.
  • Input settings and relevant dates or time zone.
  • Action taken and the result shown.
  • Expected result or official source, where applicable.
